Mihai H. Ionescu

Biography

Mihai is a partner in our Corporate Commercial and Corporate Finance & Securities practice groups. He has maintained a broad solicitor practice for over 20 years, primarily focused on corporate finance and securities law, commercial transactions and lending and secured finance.

Mihai routinely represents both public and private companies as well as underwriters and agents, in a broad range of sectors including: industrial technology, natural resources, energy, retail and financial services. He has acted as lead counsel on a variety of transactions including:

• domestic and cross border public offerings, including initial public offerings and stock exchange listings
• private placements and other exempt securities offerings
• reverse takeovers
• management buyouts and going private transactions
• proxy contests
• takeover bids
• debt financing and restructuring
• secured lending
• mergers and acquisitions
• exempt market dealer registrations
• complex licensing arrangements

Mihai also advises companies, boards and committees on corporate and securities law compliance matters, disclosure obligations, corporate governance and special transactions.
